Which GMC 3-Row SUV is Best for You?
When you need ample passenger space, it’s tough to beat a GMC 3-row SUV. All you have to do is decide which one is right for you. We’re outlining the models available at Carroll Buick GMC to help you pick a favorite.
GMC Acadia
While the GMC Acadia is technically a midsize SUV, it is close to a full-size SUV in size. The three-row SUV seats up to seven passengers comfortably. The versatile interior includes Smart Slide second-row seats, so you can access the third row with ease. The seats also fold flat, as well as the third-row seats, giving you an ample 79 cubic feet of cargo volume.
GMC Yukon
The space is amplified in the GMC Yukon, which is a roomy full-size SUV. Even the third row has a generous 34.9 inches of legroom. The three-row SUV seats seven, eight, or nine passengers, depending on the configuration you select. When you fold the rear seats flat, the SUV can carry up to 122.9 cubic feet of cargo in all.
GMC Yukon XL
The GMC Yukon XL earns its name, adding almost two extra inches of rear legroom in the third row, increasing it from 34.9 to 36.7 inches. While the GMC Yukon can carry up to 25.5 cubic feet, even when you’re utilizing all the seats, the GMC Yukon XL has a whopping 41.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row.

What if I’m Turned Down for Buick Financing?
When you have your heart set on a new vehicle, it can certainly be disheartening if you can’t secure Buick financing. Don’t get discouraged just yet. Our financial experts at Carroll Buick GMC have a few tips to help.
Find Out Why
There are lots of factors that play into auto financing. Before you try to address any issues, it’s essential to understand what they are. It could be your credit score, income, debt-to-income ratio, or another factor entirely. The more you know, the easier it is to determine your next steps.
Review Your Credit Report
If your credit is the problem, reviewing your credit report is a crucial first step to look for any discrepancies. You also want to see where the big hits are coming from. While there are ways to raise your score quickly, some factors take significant time to correct.
Consider a More Affordable Vehicle
If a lender is concerned that your existing expenses are too high, they will likely also be concerned about adding a car to your debt. Since it isn’t always possible to lower your expenses (or raise your income) overnight, you may want to consider a more affordable vehicle or a pre-owned model.
Add a Cosigner
When you add a cosigner to your loan, that person must agree to take on your loan if you can no longer make the payments. This can give lenders peace of mind since they factor in that additional income. Plus, they consider your consigner’s credit score, which often improves your qualifying rate.

We pride ourselves on helping car buyers with good credit, bad credit, no credit, and everything in between. Don’t feel discouraged if you have had trouble securing an auto loan; our team is happy to help. Visit Carroll Buick GMC to chat with our team today!
Ask Carroll Buick GMC: How to Use the LATCH System
Car seats are essential to your children’s safety. However, if they aren’t installed correctly, it can seriously diminish the protection they provide. At Carroll Buick GMC, we’re highlighting how to use the LATCH System so that you can be confident in yours.
What is the LATCH System?
The LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) System is an attachment system. It was designed to make it easier to install car seats and ensure they’re installed correctly. There are top and lower anchors to help keep your car seat securely fastened in your vehicle too.
How Does the LATCH System Work?
Car seats include lower anchor connectors, which must be attached to your vehicle’s lower anchors. These are typically found where the top and lower cushions meet in your rear seat.
Forward-facing car seats also include a top tether, which should be attached to the top anchor in your vehicle. It can be found on the panel behind the rear seat, on the back of the seat, ceiling, or floor. The top tether is designed to keep forward-facing car seats from tipping forward.
What About My Seatbelt?
Car seats can be attached using the LATCH System lower anchors or seat belts; they are equally safe. You don’t need to use both. However, a forward-facing car seat should always use the top tether, whether you use the LATCH System or a seat belt.
Do You Still Have Questions?
Do you still have questions about the LATCH system? The trained technicians at our Buick service center in Venice, FL, are happy to help. We are more than happy to help with your car seat installation too. Feel free to reach out to our team or stop in for assistance today!
GMC Service for Brake Safety Awareness Month
?
?Did you know that August is Brake Safety Awareness Month? Your brakes are vital for your safety, so this month serves as a reminder to keep yours working as they should. Our GMC service experts at Carroll Buick GMC have a few tips to help you get started.
Schedule Routine Maintenance
Routine brake service is one of the best ways to care for your brakes and ensure they work correctly. Typically, we’ll inspect your brakes at every oil change visit. Brake service also includes replacing your brake fluid and brake pads. We encourage you to check your owner’s manual to review your manufacturer’s recommendations.
Additional Brake Service
At times, you will also need to resurface your rotors and clean or adjust your brake parts. These needs will vary by vehicle (and your driving patterns and conditions). With routine inspections, you can be confident that your brakes are getting the services they need when they need them.
Inspect Your Brakes
Even with routine maintenance, keeping an eye on your vehicle is still important. If your brakes are acting funny, contact us right away. After all, you shouldn’t leave anything to chance when it comes to your safety.
These are a few signs that your brakes aren’t working correctly:
- You hear a squealing or screeching noise when braking
- Your tires grind when you stop
- Your car hesitates to stop
- Your brake pedal vibrates or feels spongy
- Your car vibrates or shakes when stopping
- Your brake fluid is leaking

Are Additives Harmful to Your Engine?
What Does Motor Oil Do?
Since you already know what gasoline does, let’s cover your motor oil’s job. Your engine’s moving parts create friction, heat, and wear as they operate. Motor oil mitigates these hazards for longer engine life.
So What Do Additives Do?
Fuel and oil additives are chemical compounds that claim to improve performance. They promise added lubrication, minimized wear, cleaner injectors, and other significant benefits. Some additives amount to placebos, and some will do what they claim; however, even the effective ones can cause engine trouble.
Are They Harmful?
So, where’s the harm if an additive does nothing or actually works? Additives can change the chemical properties of what they’re added to, and that’s a problem. You may end up with:
- Clogged filters
- Chemical wear
- Corrosion of key components
- Cylinder failure
- And other problems, including the fact that even additives that work can mask deeper issues
How Can I Protect My Engine?
Remember, additives are not a substitute for maintenance. Oil and gasoline are perfectly good at their jobs just as they are.
If you notice a drop in performance or fuel economy, it’s better to address the root cause via maintenance rather than throwing a liquid band-aid on the problem. Your owner’s manual includes the recommended maintenance schedule for your vehicle, which you should follow closely.
